Our story
Inidi Leisure began with a realisation. When a foreign delegation was seeking personalised luxury accommodation in Sri Lanka, we saw just how little the island had to offer. Having presented one of Sri Lanka’s most popular travel programmes and visited more than 100 hotels and villas, we found that hardly any of the villas offered true luxury. Our consulting work with a luxury villa tour operator in the UK had shown us that Sri Lankan properties could match the comfort of the finest in Europe.
So we built a collection of charming four-bedroom, sea-facing villas for guests who seek luxury travel in Sri Lanka. Each villa welcomes up to eight guests, and its layout adapts easily for families or groups. From the start, our aim was also to regenerate the local area and create employment.
The architecture
Inspired by the individual charm of Sri Lankan architecture, each villa is built from lightweight, custom earthy blocks that lend a distinctive texture while respecting the natural environment. At its heart, an open courtyard draws in the tropics, catching cooling breezes while bathed in warm sunlight.
Expanses of glass, a sculpted roof and soaring ceilings fill every room with an uplifting sense of light and space. Sculpted in the form of a wave and raised gracefully above the ground, the villas appear to float upon the shore, a serene retreat for complete relaxation.
